Hello and welcome
I will be building a collection of some of the best of the my digital railway photographs in this gallery, taken from June, 2006, as and when time allows. When I get this digital collection up to date I will start another collection of older images of scanned slides & negatives. Hope you enjoy the photo's and thanks for looking. |

I have been interested in railways since about the age of 13 (50 years ago !) Like many others I drifted away from the hobby and returned later. I enjoy taking photographs of the railway scene, and am always looking to improve my photography and for good quality, well composed images.
My first digital camera was a Canon 350d & I now use a Canon 450d. I have various lenses but mostly use a Sigma 18-200 superzoom. I also have a standard 50mm f1.8 for bad light shooting.

Nowadays most of my photographs are taken locally, in or around Nottinghamshire. I like to visit locations that are not often photographed, although I do sometimes visit busier, & more popular locations. I also like to visit heritage railways.I am always on the lookout for new locations & like to capture the scene, whatever the weather, or time of year.
